Living in West Seattle
West Seattle is a laid-back residential area. The sandy strip of Alki Beach is popular with volleyball players, kayakers and sunbathers, while its coastal path has views of Puget Sound and the Seattle skyline. West Seattle Junction is the area’s commercial heart, with casual eateries, coffee houses and funky shops. Lincoln Park has walking and biking trails on a bluff above the Sound, plus a heated saltwater pool. This historic neighborhood is composed of several smaller micro-neighborhoods, including Admiral, Delridge and Fauntleroy; where ferry access takes you to Vashon Island and the Kitsap Peninsula.
